FAQs, Student Immigration

Which visa do I need to study in the UK?

Most students aged 16 or over who are studying with a licensed student sponsor apply for a Student visa. Children aged 4 to 17 studying at an independent school may need a Child Student visa. We can assess your course and circumstances before you apply.

What is a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)?

A CAS is an electronic record issued by your licensed education provider. It contains information about your course and is required for a Student visa application. Your sponsor must issue it before you submit your application.

Can my partner or children join me in the UK?

Dependants are only permitted in specific circumstances and the rules depend on your course and sponsor. We can check whether your partner or children qualify and advise on the evidence they will need.
