Skilled Worker Visa

Skilled Worker Visa

The main UK work visa route: for individuals offered a job by a UK-licensed sponsor in an eligible occupation.

Overview

The Skilled Worker visa replaced the Tier 2 (General) route and is now the primary way for skilled professionals to work in the UK. You need a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed UK employer, and your role must meet minimum skill level (RQF 3 or above) and salary requirements. After five years, you may be eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
