EEA Family Permit

EEA Family Permit

For non-EEA family members of EU citizens joining or accompanying their relative in the UK under EU free movement rules.

Overview

The EEA family permit allows non-EEA nationals who are family members of EU citizens to enter the UK to join or accompany their EU relative. Although free movement ended after Brexit, family members of EU citizens with settled or pre-settled status may still be able to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme or obtain an EUSS family permit to join their relative in the UK.
