Overview
Pre-settled status is granted to EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens (and eligible family members) who were living in the UK before the end of the transition period but had not yet accumulated five years of continuous residence. It is valid for five years, during which you must apply to upgrade to settled status once you qualify.
